I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and enjoyed lots of chocolate and fun times with family - I certainly had plenty of chocolate!
I thought as we are still all staying safe I would add some R.E. onto the website for you to do some research and activities to give you something different to do.
You will notice that I have organised these into Year Group headings so hopefully it won't be too difficult to find.
- Year 1 Topic - Christianity - infant baptism
- Year 2 Topic - Hinduism - main beliefs
- Year 3 Topic - Judaism
- Year 4 Topic - Islam - looking at Ramadan
- Year 5 - the year 5 team have added your onto the year groups website
- Year 6 - Hinduism
Remember any fab work you complete please email to me at the teachers website address (email@example.com)
Summer Term 1 - Year One - Christianity
This information will get you to think about how you may welcome a new baby into your home and then look at the Christian idea of Baptism and what it means.
Summer Term 2 - Year Two - Hinduism
Please find below a power point about the religion of Hinduism. Look through the information to learn about practices of a Hindu and their beliefs.
You will find attached some pictures of various Hindu Gods and Goddesses - take a close look at their features and names. What do you find interesting about them? What do you see? Can you pronounce their names?
When you have looked carefully, maybe you could copy one, identifying their features or even make one of your own?
Can you share these with me on the teachers email address and then maybe choose one to research further.
I look forward to seeing your fab pictures.
Summer Term 1 - Year Three - Judaism
Please look at the information about an introduction to Judaism - some of the items you may recognise from when we looked at this topic in Year 2!
Summer Term 1 - Year Four - Islam
Have a look at the resources below to find out about how Muslims celebrate the month of Ramadan, looking at what they do and the rules they have to follow.
Maybe think about what you would be able to give up for a month and how easy/difficult this would be. Also think of things that you could do instead - help around the house? do a good deed for the day? Let me know what you come up with - maybe I could take some tips of what I would do?
Summer Term 1 - Year Six - Hinduism
An introduction to Hinduism and their main beliefs - you may recognise some from last year in Year 5!
